Lynn Rene Anderson

Lynn Renee Anderson, born September 26, 1947, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, was an American country singer. She was best known for the song ''Rose Garden.'' With this song, Anderson also won a Grammy Award. She was one of the most successful American singers of the 1970s.

Anderson began her career in 1966 as a solo artist. She became successful very quickly, partly because her mother was already a famous singer, Liz Anderson. Lynn was also increasingly seen on television and at the same time she continued to grow as a singer. Lynn continued to make more hits, not only in America, but worldwide. In the 1970s she achieved eight number-one hits, eighteen top-ten hits and seventeen gold records. After a while Anderson stopped playing music, but she picked this up again in 1992. Anderson was one of the most important country singers.
