Meghan Elizabeth Trainor (22 December 1993) is an American singer-songwriter. In 2014 she signed a contract with Epic Records and that same year released her debut single “All About That Bass,” which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold 11 million copies worldwide. With Epic Records she released three studio albums and received various awards and nominations including the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2016.
Since she was younger she had been interested in music and also produced three independently released acoustic albums in 2009 and 2010. She then started writing and producing songs for other artists in 2013. However in 2015 she released her debut studio album, ‘Title,’ including hit songs like ‘Lips Are Movin,’ and ‘Like I'm Gonna Lose You.’ In 2016 she released her follow-up R&B album ‘Thank you,’ which also reached high numbers. Her third album was released in 2020 called, ‘Treat Myself,’ only to produce a holiday album ‘A Very Trainor Christmas,’ later that same year.
