The Nieuwmarkt is a square in Amsterdam's Chinatown, which lies next to the Red Light District.
It is one of the oldest parts of Amsterdam and full of surprises: from Europe's largest Buddhist temple to a monastery in the middle of the Red Light District.
Even today, the square fills itself with stalls every day.
