The Slits
The Slits was a punk and post-punk band formed by four teenage girls in London during the mid 1970s. All band members were below the age of 18. In total they only released two studio albums, one in 1979, ‘Cut,’ which has been called one of the defining releases of the post-punk era.
Their second album was called ‘Return of the Giant Slits,’ released in 1982 right before the band decided to split. Most band members were burned out and felt like it was the right choice to split up. Later on in 2005 Ari and Tessa reformed The Slits with new members and released the EP ‘Revenge Of The Killer Slits,’ in 2006.
